Uyghur Asylum Seeker Puts International Community To Shame For Not Helping
RSIS senior fellow James M. Dorsey wrote that the case of Ablikim Yusuf, a 53-year old Uyghur Muslim who sought haven from potential Chinese persecution in the United States, highlighted China’s inability to enforce its depiction of the brutal clampdown on Turkic Muslims in its troubled, north-western province of Xinjiang as a purely domestic matter.
