US and Turkey Between Them May Give Syria’s Assad a Big Boost

How the Turkish assault on Kurdish forces in Syria plays out for President Bashar al-Assad will depend largely on how the Kurds respond to the US policy shift and the scale of the Turkish campaign, according to James Dorsey, a senior fellow specialising in the Middle East at Singapore’s RSIS.
