Turkey and the Kurds: What Goes Around Comes Around
Dr James M. Dorsey, a non-resident Senior Associate at the BESA Centre, and a senior fellow at the RSIS at NTU Singapore, wrote that Turkey’s refusal to acknowledge the rights of the Kurds, who are believed to account for up to 20 per cent of the country’s population, traces its roots to the carving of modern Turkey out of the ruins of the Ottoman empire.
