- To Build Back Better, Indonesia Must Get on Top of Covid-19
Richard Borsuk, Adjunct Senior Fellow at RSIS wrote this opinion piece about how Indonesia can rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic. “The Covid-19 nightmare ended a lot of dreams and lives, and turned 2020 into the roughest year for the former furniture maker who has led Indonesia since 2014,” said Mr Borsuk. “Looking to next year, Jokowi faces many challenges, but one is dominant: to do much better in battling the pandemic, in particular by making vaccinating campaigns – which must overcome daunting logistical issues – go smoothly, unlike efforts to mitigate the coronavirus,” he added.
…Richard Borsuk, who has co-authored a book on Indonesia, has worked as a Journalist in Asia for decades. He is now with Researching Southeast Asia, a consultancy, and is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University.
