    In a commentary, Han Fook Kwang, editor-at-large and senior fellow at RSIS, questioned if Malaysia and Singapore would discard the negative stereotypes of each other in the wake of renewed political leadership in the former. He hopes the two countries can get over this transitional period without too much ill will and go on to build a new long-term relationship.
