In a commentary, Han Fook Kwang, editor-at-large and senior fellow at RSIS, said that the new Voluntary Early Redevelopment Scheme scheme, announced by PM Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech, will help renew housing estates. However, he hopes that it does not cause another public housing price spiral.
