    Russia Romances Southeast Asia with Trade and Arms, But It’s No Match for China

    Russia has used its annual “Eastern Economic Forum” to woo investments to develop its far eastern reaches and the Arctic region. Chris Cheang, a former diplomat from Singapore in Moscow, and a senior fellow at RSIS, said that the Eastern Economic Forum, “served to again underline that perceived Western attempts to isolate Russia have failed”.
