Indonesia Elections: Odds Are Against Prabowo in a Legal Fight
Soon after the April 17 polls closed, former army general Prabowo Subianto declared himself the winner, accused the election authorities of blatant fraud and looked to be readying for an all-out fight to overturn the results. Dr Alexander Arifianto of RSIS said Mr Prabowo needs to file his challenge within the next three days. The court will likely hear his case in the week of June 17, and a ruling, which is final and binding, is expected to be out by around June 27.
