- Foreign Minister Retno L. P. Marsudi Visit to Singapore
Upon the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, H.E. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Retno L.P. Marsudi, conducted an official visit to Singapore on 9 – 10 February 2017.
Main agenda of the visit are enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly to follow up the outcomes of the Leaders’ Retreat between the President Joko Widodo and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Semarang, November 2016; to commence the commemorative activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations; and to exchange the Instruments of Ratification of the Treaty relating to the Delimitation of the Territorial Seas of the two Countries in the Eastern Part of the Strait of Singapore which was signed on 3 September 2014.
… Prior to the meeting, Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi also spoke at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) Distinguished Public Lecture at Pan Pacific Singapore on Indonesia’s Foreign Policy attended by 200 participants from the diplomatic community, think tank, scholars and community leaders.
