Mr Zhang Hongzhou
China’s strategic and political considerations have directly and indirectly contributed to the growing presence of Chinese fishermen in disputed waters in the South China Sea and East China Sea. Mr Zhang Hongzhou, associate research fellow with the China Programme at RSIS will argue that food security and economic factors are the primary drivers of the outward expansion of China’s marine fishery sector. The talk will be held today at the East Asian Institute Conference Room, NUS Bukit Timah Campus.
