- China’s New Ideas on Global Governance Win Extensive Appreciation
Since taking office in late 2012, the current leadership of China has proposed a series of new initiatives and programs on global governance, winning extensive appreciation by international scholars and experts.
During the ongoing annual political sessions by the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference this year, international experts and scholars, in commenting on China’s new ideas on global governance, have expressed the belief that along with continued promotion of the national strength, China is advancing toward the center of the international arena.
The major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics is promoted under the premise of respecting the sovereignty of other countries and non-interference of their internal affairs, said Oh Ei Sun, senior fellow with S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University.
For many scholars and experts on international relations, crisis solutions initiated by China are brand new.
