Business Leaders Share a Glimpse of the New Normal

Virtual check-in and check-outs at hotels, more employees working from home and more restaurants operating takeaway businesses – these are some scenarios that business leaders said could be what a new normal may look like in the post Covid-19 world, during a webinar conducted by SGSME.sg on Monday. During the event, Professor Joseph Liow, Dean of NTU’s College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences and Research Adviser at RSIS shared on how the pandemic will change the dynamic of the trade and commerce market and consumer behaviour. “It’s safe to say that by all indicators, we are in for a prolonged economic downturn,” he said.
