In a commentary, Joseph Chinyong Liow, dean of NTU’s the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and professor of comparative and international politics at RSIS, said that as an untested coalition, Malaysia’s ruling Pakatan Harapan would need time and its leaders need to better manage fissures within the coalition and its constituent members or face further loss of confidence.
