New Research Programme to Improve Humanitarian Efforts

Half of the world’s natural disasters last year took place in the Asia Pacific. A new research programme to improve humanitarian efforts to such disasters has been launched by the RSIS. The programme will focus on four key areas – the humanitarian landscape in Asia, vulnerable populations, emergency relief and the impact of technology on aid efforts. It will also review lessons learnt from past responses.
