In a joint-commentary by Professor Mely Caballero-Anthony and Jose M.L. Montesclaros, Associate Research Fellow, at RSIS, discussed how cities are the chief battleground in preparing for the future, in the face of COVID-19. Where Covid-19 has struck, it has struck hard because of the density of people living in cities. Two examples – Wuhan and Singapore – show that lockdowns of densely populated urban centres are effective if done right, they said.
