Fostering Closer Relations

China and ASEAN are expecting closer ties, especially in trade, as both sides celebrate the 15th anniversary of their strategic partnership and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang visits Singapore. “Stronger bilateral relations are good for both countries. It helps to facilitate communications to form better mutual understanding and coordinate on economic, cultural, and political issues of mutual concern,” said Lina Gong, a research fellow at the Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies at RSIS.
