COVID-19 And School Closures: Why Education Sector Needs Protecting – Analysis
In a commentary, NTU RSIS research fellow Tamara Nair wrote about the world’s preparedness in facing the fallout of schools closing for a long period of time as a result of the global pandemic. Prolonged forced absence from educational institutions is a dangerous path to be on for any country, and the key to having a trained workforce as the global economy tries to fix itself in the aftermath of the pandemic will depend on what we do today, and how we keep our students learning in unchartered times, she wrote.
