    Wu Shang-su, a research fellow in IDSS, RSIS, noted that after Taiwan’s submarine fleet is completed, the asymmetrical nature of the submarines vis-à-vis the Chinese major surface naval ships would strengthen Taipei’s deterrence against Beijing.
