This week’s third summit between President Moon Jae-in and his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang is likely to be a culmination of Seoul’s efforts to build confidence with the reclusive state still in doubt about its future without nuclear arms. Shawn Ho, a security researcher at RSIS, said, “There is a long list of areas where the two Koreas are in regular contact to aim to build trust and improve relations which at the same time will help the denuclearization process.”
