    In a commentary, Dr Irman G. Lanti, a visiting senior fellow at RSIS, said that the third direct presidential election in Indonesia this year mirrored the first election in 1955, where incumbent president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was projected to win with a vote difference of between 8- 10 per cent.
