Singapore, South Korea on Track to Deepen Future Ties, Analysts Say
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is in South Korea to attend the Asean-Korea Commemorative Summit, which South Korean President Moon Jae-in is hosting in Busan today and tomorrow. The two leaders held bilateral talks last Saturday. “The fact that PM Lee was the first Asean leader Mr Moon received is also significant,” said Mr Shawn Ho, an associate research fellow at NTU’s S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. “It shows the importance that South Korea attaches to Singapore as a trusted and valued partner within the 10 Asean member states.”
