Ong Keng Yong to be Non-Resident High Commissioner to Pakistan

SINGAPORE: Ambassador-at-Large in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Ong Keng Yong has been appointed Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, MFA announced in a news release on Monday (Dec 22).
Mr Ong has a diplomatic career spanning 35 years, and was Singapore’s High Commissioner to Malaysia from July 2011 up till last month. He had previously been High Commissioner to India and Non-Resident Ambassador to Iran. He is currently Executive Deputy Chairman of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies and Director of the school’s Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies.
