Provocative video has been released by China’s air force showing a simulated attack on America’s air base in Guam by nuclear-capable H-6 bombers. Posted to Weibo by the People’s Liberation Army Air Force on Saturday, the simulation lasts two minutes and 15 seconds and boasts dramatic music, with bombers releasing a missile on the base. The video is titled “The god of war H-6K goes on the attack!”

“The video is meant to warn the Americans that even supposedly safe, rearward positions such as Guam may come under threat when conflicts over regional flashpoints, be it Taiwan or South China Sea, erupt,” said Collin Koh, a Research Fellow at Singapore’s Institute of Defense and Strategic Studies of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
