Barriers around S’pore’s coastline must be coupled with patrols by coast guard: Expert
The threat of terrorists entering Singapore by sea is real, based on past and worldwide trends, said Mr Collin Koh, an associate research fellow with the Military Studies Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
Mr Koh, who has a research interest in naval affairs in the South-east Asia region, pointed out that the terrorists behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks had entered India by sea.
