RSIS research analyst Najwa Abdullah wrote that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition government’s continued use of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 in dealing with recent cases suggests that PH will need time to find its feet when it comes to media freedom.
