RSIS Asst Prof Mohamed Nawab Mohamed Osman and senior analyst Prashant Waikar, wrote that the Tanjung Piai by-election in Malaysia on 16 November 2019 has been described by some commentators as the beginning of the end for the current Pakatan Harapan (PH) government, while others have argued that the result is a warning of dissatisfaction with PH’s performance.
