Jockeying by Indonesian Candidates Gathers Pace
Alexander R. Arifianto, a research fellow with RSIS, wrote that with the election less than a year away, the two leading candidates are Joko Widodo, who is seeking a second five-year term as president, and Lt-Gen (Rtd) Prabowo Subianto, leader of the Gerindra Party, who was his primary opponent during the 2014 presidential election.
