In an interview, Sumitha Narayanan Kutty, an associate research fellow at RSIS, said Iran’s significance for India today is primarily strategic and revolves around India’s connectivity to Afghanistan, Central Asia and beyond. Unfortunately, little is being done to strengthen cultural and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
