- Experts on the First 100 Days of Biden Presidency
Associate Professor Dr. Li Mingjiang, Coordinator of the China Programme at RSIS, NTU, shared that the strategic competition act by the US Congress would be the most comprehensive and significant document in an attempt to compete and contain China. Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamin Ho, also at RSIS’ China Programme, shared that looking at the first 100 days, Biden’s china policy can be broadly described as one that is both institutionally and ideologically competitive. He added the Biden administration is not very different from the Trump administration in terms of world view towards China, except that we have seen a greater degree of collective coherency across the American foreign policy institutions, including both the state and defence departments.
