    Beijing Moves to Strengthen its Hold on Disputed Islands in the South China Sea

    Beijing has moved to tighten its grip over the South China Sea by setting up new administrative structures in the disputed waters. Collin Koh, a research fellow from NTU’s RSIS, said the move signalled that Beijing was likely to build more infrastructure and enhance its military presence in the area.
