Southeast Asia’s Teenage Extremists
Amalina Abdul Nasir and Kenneth Yeo, research analysts at NTU’s RSIS, said that the Islamic State (IS) caliphate propaganda capitalises on two factors to radicalise teens: atrocities against Muslims globally and the heroism narrative, and they do this via social media platforms such as Facebook and Telegram.
