- ‘Issues of Militancy Would be Dealt with Iron Hand’
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmood Khandkar said Monday the issues relating to militancy and terrorism would be dealt with an iron hand, reports BSS.
“This is the high time to enhance the strength of the law enforcing agencies to deal with the issues like militancy and terrorism,” the IGP commented while inaugurating a four-day workshop on “Responding to Terrorism Alternative Approach” jointly organised by Police Staff College and International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR), Singapore at Bangladesh Police Staff College in the city Monday.
The function was chaired by Rector of the Police Staff College Additional Inspector General of Police Md Nazmul Haq and Manager of Singapore-based ICPVTR Joline Jerat was present at it as the special guest.
