Has COVID-19 Increased the Risk of Bioterrorism?
In a commentary, Amresh Lavan Gunasingham, an Associate Editor at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research at RSIS, wrote about the need for renewed threat assessments in an evolving security environment, as terrorists seek to develop new capabilities. Health authorities will need to be better prepared not just for the next pandemic, but also against bioterrorism and other public health threats, he added.
