Philippine EEZ Almost as Big as China’s

The exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the Philippines archipelago is nearly as large as the EEZ of the People’s Republic of China. A paper on China’s behaviour in the South China Sea by Asst Prof Ong Weichong of RSIS, NTU Singapore, discussed the SCS as a “core interest” of China.
