Islamic State has stepped up its threats against Israel with a Hebrew-speaking fighter vowing the terror network will remove borders and eliminate the “Jews’’.
In a video on Twitter on Thursday, an ISIS militant refers to the spate of stabbings and vehicle attacks in Israel as “child’s play’’.
“The real war has not yet begun,’’ he says from ISIS territory in Syria’s Damascus province.
“Look what happened to you with just a few stabbings and hit-and-runs by our brothers in Palestine … You are afraid from every driver … and from anyone who is just holding something in his hand.
“Expect car bombs with which every child of the Muslims is getting ready to drive you to hell directly … We will be coming from north and south to eliminate you.
… Terrorism specialist Rohan Gunaratna warned last month of the gravity of impending attacks after addressing a global counter-terrorism summit in Israel.
Islamic State’s affiliate in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, one of the most active terrorist groups, had conducted 400 attacks in the past seven months, the head of the Singapore-based International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research said.
‘’The threat to Israel will grow both from ISIS Sinai and the al-Qa’ida-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra in the Golan Heights,’’ Dr Gunaratna said.
