ISIS Catches Obama Off Guard
On June 4, 2009, President Barack Obama delivered his “New Beginnings” speech in Cairo, Egypt, with praise for Islam and apologies for the arrogance of the United States of America.
In the ensuing years, President Obama and Democrat progressives apologized to Islamic nations, stating that Americans had to be sensitive to Muslims, their religion, traditions, and demeanor. Right up until the August 20 decapitation of U.S. journalist James Foley, the Democrat Party and the news media continued to downplay the cruelty and wanton murders by Muslim jihadists.
With the televised execution of James Foley, the new nation calling itself the Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL) has Western nations in dismay. U.S. defense and military officials who warned of coming ISIS incursions are pointing fingers at the White House and its blasé attitude toward radical Islam. U.S. citizens are finally grasping the reality of terror attacks hitting home — just as ISIS wants.
… Prior to 2014, international terrorist expert Rohan Gunaratna had estimated that 30 percent of radical Islamic suicide attackers were women. Egyptian Sheik Yussuf al-Qaradawi issued a fatwa (blessing) for aspiring female suicide bombers.
