Chinese President Xi Jinping’s policy announcements and proposals at the United Nations Summit series were acclaimed by the international community as reflecting China’s commitment to maintaining world peace and supporting common development.
On Monday, Xi made a speech at the UN headquarters titled “build a new type of international relations featuring win-win cooperation, create a community of common destiny for mankind”, in which he renewed China’s “commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN charter”, reaffirming that China, as always, will be a peaceful world constructor and adhere to the path of peaceful development.
Xi called on the world community to jointly promote peace and development and address major challenges to build a better world.
… Li Mingjiang, associate professor with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies under Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, said the contributions China has made to helping developing countries cope with major challenges have demonstrated its sense of responsibility.
