When Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar asked us to ignore the advisory allegedly issued by the Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) to its crew and staff that the Islamic State (IS) militants might launch attacks in Malaysia, I could not help but stunned.
I do not know whether to believe it or not.
If I choose to believe it, I must then agree that Malaysia is one of the world countries most unlikely to be attacked by terrorists.
If I choose not to believe it, I must then agree that like other countries, Malaysia is also facing the threat of extremism and terrorist attacks.
…International terrorism expert Rohan Gunaratna said that the internal advisory issued by the KLM was to a certain extent, credible. He reminded the Malaysian government not to take it lightly but should instead address it seriously.
