According to Euromoney’s country risk survey 2019, the mean average global risk score improved from the third to fourth quarter as business confidence stabilized and political risks calmed. However, Hong Kong’s future as a business hub and financial centre will be doomed by political gridlock believes Friedrich Wu, an ECR survey contributor based at NTU Singapore.
