- Between the Lines: Greece and the Eurozone
Only a few days have past since the deal between Greece and the Eurozone leaders have finalised but Greece is already facing problems with its own parliament. Dr Pradumna B Rana, Assoc Prof & Coordinator of the International Political Economy Programme at RSIS, said that there was a sigh of relief over the past few days since there won’t be a Greek exit anytime soon. He also said that, “if there were to be a Greek exit, then the unravelling of the entire monetary union is not an impossibility because if Greece were to withdraw then Europe will move from a single currency regime to the regime of the 1980s… which is vulnerable [to speculation].”
