    RSIS research fellow Muhammad Faizal Bin Abdul Rahman wrote that the potential risks of a space arms race, which would be an extension of existing geopolitical rivalries on earth, could aggravate problems that have been besetting global peace and dividing humankind along the lines of nation-states, identities and ideologies.
