Protecting Singapore’s Social Harmony
In an opinion piece, RSIS associate research fellow Remy Mahzam and research fellow Muhammad Faizal Abdul Rahman wrote that the proposed changes to Singapore’s Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act and the new Community Remedial Initiative are a good example of sensible action to counter religious and racial tensions, and Singapore’s experience demonstrates the importance of reconciliation in combating these issues.
