In a commentary, RSIS’s Research Fellow Cameron Sumpter and Associate Research Fellow Jennifer Yang Hui wrote about how pandemics provide the perfect space for opportunists to manipulate narratives and advance their agenda. They highlighted examples of these groups, and outlined how transparency and civil society can offer safeguards against them.
