Seminar Abstract
In recent months, there has been positive developments in the Korean Peninsula, culminating in the summit meeting between DPRK Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President of ROK Moon Jae-in scheduled for April 27, 2018 in Panmunjom. Earlier this month, Dr. Dino Patti Djalal led a small Track 2 delegation of Asian Scholars and Experts to the DPRK. He will share his impressions from his various conversations in the DPRK as well as his analysis on the evolving situation in the Korean Peninsula.
About the Speaker
Dino Patti Djalal is a former deputy foreign minister and former Indonesian ambassador to the United States. He also served as the presidential spokesperson for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono from 2004-2010. Dr. Dino recently founded the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), which has become the largest foreign policy group in Indonesia. In 2012, Dr. Dino founded the Congress of Indonesian Diaspora. He is also an Asia Fellow at the Milken Institute and the chairman of the Board of Director of World Resource Institute Indonesia.
