About the Roundtable:

The adoption of the Langkawi Declaration on the Global Movement of Moderates by the ASEAN Heads of Government on April 27, 2015 has reaffirmed their commitment to moderation as an ASEAN value for the promotion of peace, stability and progress throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.

Pursuant to this, the Global Movement of Moderates Foundation will be organising a series of roundtables throughout ASEAN member states to continue to build on initiatives to share best practices on moderation, countering radicalisation and tackling the roots of extremism. The roundtable will seek to engage leading thinkers and activists from the ASEAN region on how moderation can be the decisive factor in how we move forward in shaping prospects of peace and security.
