The RSIS Alumni Association (Indonesia) was launched by Professor Joseph Liow, Dean of RSIS on 7 November 2014 in Jakarta.

About 40 alumni gathered at Comma, a cosy co-working space in South Jakarta, on the Friday evening to celebrate the establishment of a formal networking platform for RSIS alumni based in Indonesia.

Professor Liow welcomed the alumni, some of whom have traveled from beyond Jakarta, updating them of the latest developments in RSIS and thanking them for their commitment in forming RAA (Indonesia).

Mr Phillip Ee, President of RSIS Alumni Association (RAA) envisioned his plans for fruitful collaboration between RSIS alumni in Singapore and Indonesia.

Mr Paulus Suhendrasmo, President of RSIS AA (Indonesia) shared on its vision and mission and introduced his committee members, thanking them for their enthusiasm and contributions.

The Guest-of-Honour, Pak Tito Karnavian, Chief Police Inspectorate shared on his PhD experience at RSIS and insights on security issues, moderated by Associate Professor Leonard C. Sebastian, Co-ordinator of Indonesia Programme, RSIS.

The heartwarming occasion renewed old friendships between Singapore and Indonesia alumni, bringing back fond memories of studying at RSIS for our international alumni. The launch was also graced by Ambassador Tan Hung Seng, Singapore’s Permanent Representative to ASEAN, and Mr Gerard Ho, Deputy Chief of Mission, Singapore Embassy in Jakarta.

RSIS Alumni Association (Indonesia) is on Facebook.
