Synopsis
The ever-evolving social media domain necessitates a holistic approach to better understand and address how and why people behave the way they do online. In addition, a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics in the online environment contributes significantly to developing communication strategies, conducting research work and investigation and analysis. This Workshop will focus on emerging trends related to four main areas in the social media domain: (a) perceptions; (b) online and offline behaviour; (c) strategic and crisis communication; and (e) governance.

A wide range of professionals will benefit from attending this workshop. Policy-makers, policy-analysts, strategists, researchers and academics, who are involved in social media analytics, social media engagement, government/public communications, strategic and crisis communications, will able to learn, exchange ideas and network.
