Synopsis

The 5^th Annual Conference of the NTS-Asia Consortium in 2020 aims to bring the Asian experiences of circular economy into focus. It encourages a candid sharing and exchange of perceptions, opportunities, and challenges on the adoption of the circular economy concept in national development plans. Given the numerous developmental constraints facing Asia, and sensitive to the specific situations each country finds itself in, the annual conference will discuss the following points:

1. The assessment of circular economy compatibility vis-à-vis national priorities
2. Institutional and structural challenges and opportunities in adopting circular economy concept
3. Success stories and lessons learnt from countries that have attempted to apply circular economy concept.
