Head of Centre, Prof. Mely Caballero-Anthony participated in the 60th Session of the UN Advisory Board on Disarmament and Security in her capacity as a Member of the 2013 Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters. Issues that were discussed include the relations between the nuclear-weapon-free zones in advancing regional and global security, as well as disarmament and security implications of emerging technologies.
