On 15 September, President Biden and Prime Ministers Morrison and Johnson announced the establishment of “AUKUS,” a new trilateral security partnership in the Indo-Pacific region. The three sides committed to wide ranging security cooperation, including on the provision of nuclear attack submarine technology to Australia.
